An optimal choice for decreasing your pet’s pain and discomfort while restoring mobility and function

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical innovative way of providing high doses of the pet’s own healing factors directly to the area where they are needed.

PRP is being used extensively as a treatment modality in veterinary medicine for orthopedic injuries, stomatitis, refractory corneal ulcers, wound healing and more. By using the animal’s own natural healing capabilities, TropoVet PRP provides a viable alternative or adjunct treatment for many animals facing surgery due to injury or chronic pain.

How to perform the TropoVet PRP procedure?

A sample of blood is drawn from the animal and spun in a special centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells and most of the white blood cells. The plasma is then concentrated so it contains higher-than-normal blood levels of platelets. It’s ready for injection into the site of injury.

Usually, TropoVet PRP is often preformed as a series of one to three injections with a two-three week time span between injections.
